Honda XL Italia

Sto avendo un incubo cercando di trovare un collettore di aspirazione in gomma per la mia moto. La moto viene fornito con un carburatore diverso ogni xl125s altre parti del mondo (Dellorto vhbz22gs) e il collettore è il tipo che fissa su una fascetta. Il problema è quello sulla moto sta iniziando a diventare un po 'lungo nel dente quindi ho bisogno di ottenere una nuova. Qualche idea???

The best solution is to find a new aluminium flange, or machining a new one from a block of aluminium and to add a generic rubber manifold of the correct size. You can use a flange from an XL125R or an XL200R, if you can find one. The manifold can be rebuild from a piece of radiator hose taken from a wrecked car; be careful with the size...

Thanks for looking Umberto, unfortunately the part listed is incorrect, thats the bolt on type the one on the italian bike uses a different carburetor with the sleeve type.

Parksie, you can also buy a good used keihin carburetor on ebay, overhaul it and use the manifold with built in flange Umberto suggested you.... Only the XL125 models built in Italy uses Dellorto carbs, all the other versions have the original keihin type (for some people they are better.....). I think that rubber manifold for keihin is strongest than the Dellorto type, and maybe it will be easily avalaible for a lot of time, because of the high numbers of keihin equipped bikes built....

I had the same bike, and I solved the problem coating the manifold with a thin layer of liquid siliconic gasket.

That was something I'd thought about, I am also looking into some kind of wrap for it, I'll let you know my findings

Riassumendo, 125S con collettore crepato, gli è stato consigliato di trovarne uno dell'R o di rifarlo dal pieno e usare un manicotto, io ho aggiunto che il collettore dell'S che avevo anni fa l'avevo rappezzato con la pasta rossa.
